Teddy Wu –– Staff Reporter

Teddy Wu (’13) is just your normal high school guy. He likes to watch movies and hang out with his friends and family, travel, and cook. In school, he plays the clarinet and saxophone in the band and participates on the volleyball team. But something that isn’t like your typical high school kid is his pet peeve of public water fountains.

“I don’t like public water fountains,” he said. “They are not as sanitary and they never taste like the actual water,” he explained. “It tastes different from bottled water or from the tap.”

Teddy tries everyday to avoid them by bringing his own water bottle to school. Who knows who has been drinking from those fountains?

“Thinking about how many people have touched that water is disgusting. I think it’s especially gross when people put things like gum on it.”

Seeing things like that makes Teddy’s opinion about water fountains even stronger.

“I think it’s just better to bring your own water so you don’t have to worry about those things. I’m not against water fountains, but I just do not prefer them.”
